Career Beginnings
Mallika’s career in the limelight began with appearances in several television commercials. She featured alongside Bollywood legends like Amitabh Bachchan in a BPL ad and Shah Rukh Khan for Santro. She also made her presence felt in the music video of "Bailando" by Nirmal Pandey and Surjit Bindrakhia. Her debut in Bollywood came with the film Jeena Sirf Merre Liye, but it was her role in Khwahish (2003) that truly caught the public's attention.
Rise to Fame
However, it was her role in the film Murder (2004) that solidified Mallika’s position in the industry. The movie, which became a major hit, earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the Zee Cine Awards.
